Test 9A Left Front Wheel Speed Sensor Fault

NOTE:

- Using DRB-II, read fault messages. If DRB-II displays LF WSS CONTINUITY fault, go to TEST 8A . If DRB-II does not display LF WSS CONTINUITY fault, go to next step.
- Inspect left front Wheel Speed Sensor (WSS) for damage. If left front WSS is damaged, replace left front WSS. Perform VER-1A . If left front WSS is okay, go to next step.
- Inspect left front tone wheel for damage (chipping or cracking). If tone wheel is damaged, replace the tone wheel. Perform VER-1A . If tone wheel is okay, go to next step.
- Disconnect left front WSS 2-pin connector located near brake master cylinder. See Figure . Ensure ignition is off. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance across left front WSS male connector. If resistance is not 1000-4000 ohms, replace left front WSS. Perform VER-1A . If resistance is 1000-4000 ohms, go to next step.
- Inspect condition of ABS wiring harness between Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) and left front WSS. If ABS wiring harness is damaged, repair as necessary. Perform VER-1A . If ABS wiring harness is okay, replace CAB. Perform VER-1A .
