Hood Opener Cable Replacement
2008 Acura TSX AutomaticSECTION Hood Opener Cable Replacement
NOTE:
- Put on gloves to protect your hands.
- Take care not to scratch the body and related parts.
- Remove these items:
- Front fender trim (see FRONT FENDER TRIM REPLACEMENT )
- Front grille cover (see FRONT GRILLE REPLACEMENT )
- Front Inner fender (see FRONT INNER FENDER REPLACEMENT )
- Kick panel (see TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - DOOR AREAS )
- Disconnect the hood opener cable (A) from the hood latch (B) (see HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENTΒ ).
- Using a clip remover, detach the clips (C, D), and remove the grommet (E) from the body, then remove the hood opener cable from the vehicle. Take care not to kink the cable.
- Install the cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
- Check if the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
- Route the cable through the holes (F) in the body and front fender bulkhead correctly.
