System Check
Observe THEFT indicator light on instrument cluster and turn ignition on. If THEFT indicator light stays on or is flashing, retrieve DTCs and perform appropriate DTC test. See RETRIEVING CODESΒ . If THEFT indicator light does not turn on, retrieve DTCs and perform appropriate DTC test. See RETRIEVING CODESΒ . If no DTCs are present, go to NO THEFT INDICATOR PROVEOUTΒ test. When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:
