Section 17 (Mp2010 Transfer Case (Service Information)): Installation
2024 Dodge and Ram Durango SRT Hellcat PlusSECTION Installation

- Mount transfer case on a transmission jack.
- Secure transfer case to jack with chains.
- Position transfer case under vehicle.
- Align transfer case and transmission (1) shafts and install transfer case onto the transmission.
- Install and tighten all transfer case attaching bolts (2) to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Connect front driveshaft and install rear driveshaft. Refer to SHAFT, DRIVE, FRONT, INSTALLATION and SHAFT, DRIVE, REAR, INSTALLATION .
- Remove transfer case fill plug (2).
- Fill transfer case with correct fluid. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE - FLUID DRAIN/REFILLΒ .
- Install the transfer case fill plug (2) and tighten the plug to the proper torque specifications. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ .
- Install rear crossmember and skid plate, if equipped. Refer to CROSSMEMBER, TRANSMISSION, INSTALLATION .
- Remove transmission jack and support stand.
- Lower vehicle and verify transfer case operation.
