- If power seats diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If power seats diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to POWER SEATS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Select Seat Control Module (SCM) input display. Monitor SEAT FRONT DOWN SWITCH status on scan tool. If scan tool indicates front SEAT FRONT DOWN SWITCH status as ACTIVE, go to next step. If scan tool does not indicate front SEAT FRONT DOWN SWITCH status as ACTIVE, go to step 7 .
- Disconnect power seat switch connector. Monitor SEAT FRONT DOWN SWITCH status on scan tool. If scan tool indicates SEAT FRONT DOWN SWITCH status as ACTIVE, go to next step. If scan tool does not indicate SEAT FRONT DOWN SWITCH status as ACTIVE, go to step 5 .
- Check for short to ground in Dark Green wire between SCM and power seat switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If problem is found, repair as necessary and go to step 9 . If circuit is okay, go to step 6 .
- Replace power seat switch. See POWER SEAT SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to step 9 .
- Replace SCM. See LUMBAR PUMP/SEAT CONTROL MODULE under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to step 9 .
- Check power seat front down switch circuits for intermittents. If problem is found, repair as necessary and go to step 9 . If circuits are okay, go to next step.
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect all disconnected components. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear all DTCs. Wait 2 seconds. If DTC B2177 sets, go to step 6 . If DTC B2177 does not set, system is okay.
- Turn ignition off. Reconnect all disconnected components. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, clear all DTCs. Go to POWER SEATS DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
