3. Check the Closing Locks - Vehicles with Keyless Stop and Start Systems
-- Switch the ignition on.
-- Do not move the selector lever into "P" but rather, for example, into "N".
-- Switch the ignition off.
- A warning message must be displayed in the instrument cluster.
- The vehicle cannot be locked.
-- Move the selector lever into "P" position.
- The vehicle can be locked.
If the specified values are not obtained:
-- Use the Vehicle Diagnostic Tester in Guided Fault FindingΒ for Fault Finding.
-- Adjust the selector lever cable. Refer to SELECTOR LEVER CABLE, CHECKING AND ADJUSTINGΒ .
-- Check the locking button on the selector lever handle. Refer to 4. Selector Lever Handle Locking Button, CheckingΒ .
