Description of activations (DSTC)

Note! Applies only to ABS systems equipped with DSTC.

Activating components
This function allows a number of components to be activated so that their functions can be checked. The following components can be activated:

Pump motor
Activating the hydraulic modulator pump motor.
The pump motor should "hum".

Left front inlet valve
Activating left front wheel inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Right front inlet valve
Activating right front wheel inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Left rear inlet valve
Activating left rear wheel inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Right rear inlet valve
Activating right rear wheel inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Left front outlet valve
Activating left front wheel outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

TRACS (Traction Control System) Valve 1
Activating the TRACS (Traction Control System) valve 1.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

TRACS (Traction Control System) Valve 2
Activating the TRACS (Traction Control System) valve 2.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Right front outlet valve
Activating right front wheel outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Left rear outlet valve
Activating left rear wheel outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Right rear outlet valve
Activating right rear wheel outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Active yaw control inlet valve
Activating the active yaw control inlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the ABS hydraulic modulator.

Active yaw control outlet valve
Activating the active yaw control outlet valve.
"Clicking sound" in the hydraulic modulator

Active yaw control pressure build-up valve
Activating the active yaw control pressure build-up valve.
A barely audible "clicking sound" from the power brake booster. If the pressure build-up valve is activated while the car is idling, the engine will splutter and the engine speed (RPM) will drop slightly.
