Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information
Condition
Lock-up solenoid SL controls the transmission lock-up function. Solenoid SLU operates when it receives voltage from the transmission control module (TCM) and is activated under different driving conditions depending on road speed, throttle position and the driving mode selected. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) TCM-010F is stored if the control module registers an open-circuit in the solenoid SL circuit when the solenoid should be activated. Solenoid SLU cannot then be activated.
Substitute value
- The transmission control module (TCM) "Emergency mode I" program has been initiated.
- The transmission control module (TCM) does not activate the lock-up solenoid.
Possible source
- Contact resistance in terminals.
- Open-circuit in the signal cable.
- Defective solenoid.
- Open-circuit in the power ground.
- Defective control module.
Fault symptom[s]
- General orange warning lamp lit.
- No lock-up function.
- Harsh gear shifting.
