Faulty signal. Permanent fault

Short-circuit between the signal cables








- Ignition off
- The control module for the steering wheel angle sensor disconnected
- Steering wheel module (SWM) disconnected
- Connect the breakout box to the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor and to the steering wheel module (SWM).
Check the wiring between the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor
terminal #3 (terminal (#A27) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #5 (terminal #A5)
terminal #4 (terminal (#A28) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #3 (terminal #A3)
terminal #10 (terminal (#A34) and steering wheel module (SWM) terminal #2 (terminal #A2)
#11 (#A35) and steering wheel module (SWM) #17 (#A17)
check for a short-circuit to each other.
Try replacing the steering wheel angle sensor if no faults are found in the wiring between the control module for the steering wheel angle sensor and the steering wheel module (SWM).

- Ignition off.
- Connect the connectors, install the components, etc.
- Ignition on.
- Turn the steering wheel slowly to full lock in both directions.
The values should alternate between OFF and ON.
