Condition

Normally the Control area network (CAN) is used to transfer information about fuel pump control from the engine control module (ECM) to the central electronic module. The signal cable from the engine control module (ECM) to the Central electronic module is used for a "limp home" function when there is no Controller Area Network function.
Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-2400 is stored in the engine control module (ECM) if the engine control module (ECM) registers a fault in signal cable to the central electrical unit.
