The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the driver information module (DIM) registers that the stored mileage value differs by more than 500 km from the most recently stored mileage. The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is also stored if the voltage to the driver information module (DIM) is interrupted before the new mileage is stored in the central electronic module (CEM).
