Condition




The heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) heating circuit is checked for a short-circuit to supply voltage, a short-circuit to ground, an open-circuit or faulty resistance in the heating resistor after the ignition is switched on if battery voltage is 11-16 V. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-2210 is stored if the control module registers any of these.

Rear heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) heating is blocked.

Possible source

Signal too low
- open-circuit in the signal cable
- short-circuit to ground in the signal cable
- resistance too high in the heating resistor.

Signal too high
- short-circuit to supply voltage in the signal cable
- defective heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).

Faulty signal
- defective heated oxygen sensor (HO2S).
