Condition
The diagnostic trouble code (DTC) is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) indicates that the windshield wiper is somewhere on the windshield for longer than 5 seconds and the steering wheel module (SWM) indicates that the windshield wiper should not be activated.
Possible source
- Damaged windshield wiper motor
- Short-circuit to ground in the cable.
Fault symptom[s]
- Windshield wiper motor does not operate. (The windshield wiper has become stuck on the windshield.)
- No rain sensor function.
