Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) BCM-0116 is stored if the brake control module (BCM) registers that the communication with the active yaw control sensor is not functioning.

Substitute value
- Traction control is blocked
- Stability control is blocked
- Active yaw control is blocked.

Possible source
- The cables for Control area network (CAN) communication are short-circuited to each other
- Short-circuit to ground or supply voltage in the cables for Control area network (CAN) communication
- Internal fault in the active yaw control sensor
- Internal fault in the brake control module (BCM).

Fault symptom[s]
- The anti-spin warning lamp is lit (up to and including 2002 model year)
- General yellow warning lamp lit (from model year 2003 inclusive)
- Anti-spin does not function
- The stability control system does not function
- The traction control system does not function.
