Check the cable between control module terminal #51 (#A51) and transmission connector #T (#A17) for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Check the wiring between control module terminal 53 (#A53) and transmission connector #E (#A5) for an intermittent short-circuit to ground according to Checking wiring and terminals. Intermittent faults Checking Wiring and Terminals. Intermittent Faults.
Hint: With the ignition off and the control module disconnected, the resistance between control module terminal 51 (#A51) and ground (breakout box #53) should be 11-15 ohms.
Remedy as necessary.
