Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) ECM-3100 is stored if the signal from the engine speed (RPM) sensor is missing or if it gives an engine speed (RPM) signal which is too low in relation to the signal from the camshaft position (CMP) sensor and the control module interprets it as a fault.
