Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) information CEM-8D01
Condition
For the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) to be stored, either the ignition switch lighting or the stop lamp must be activated. Diagnostic trouble code (DTC) CEM 8D01 is stored if the central electronic module (CEM) indicates a short-circuit to ground in the high level additional stop lamp or in the ignition ring lighting.
Possible source
- Over heated
- Short-circuit to ground in the circuit for the ignition switch or the stop lamp circuit
- Defective high level stop lamp.
Fault symptom[s]
- The stop lamp does not light when the brake pedal is depressed.
