Checking contact resistance and oxidation
Remedy the amplifier and head unit/audio control module (AUM) connectors for contact resistance and oxidation according to Checking wiring and terminals. Permanent fault Checking Wiring and Terminals. Permanent Fault.

If the sound reproduction is now OK, the fault was due to a bad connection in the connectors.
