Inspection Procedure

2009 Toyota Sequoia Limited, 5.7 Y, RWDSECTION Inspection Procedure
  1. REPLACE BACK NO. 2 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RH 
    1. Replace the back No. 2 ultrasonic sensor with a normally functioning sensor (See REMOVAL  ).
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK SENSOR RH - REAR CORNER SENSOR RH) 
    1. Disconnect the R3 back No. 2 ultrasonic sensor connector.
    2. Disconnect the R2 rear corner No. 1 ultrasonic sensor connector.
    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE

      Tester Condition Condition Specified Condition
      R3-1 (BI) - R2-2 (BO) Always Below 1 Ω
      R3-3 (SI) - R2-4 (SO)
      R3-5 (EI) - R2-6 (EO)
      R3-1 (BI) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      R3-3 (SI) - Body ground
      R3-5 (EI) - Body ground
    4. Reconnect the back No. 2 ultrasonic sensor connector.
    5. Reconnect the rear corner No. 1 ultrasonic sensor connector.

    NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  (See PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
