DTC Check / Clear
- DTC CHECK/CLEAR (TECHSTREAM)
- Check the DTC.
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Read the DTCs following the prompts on the tester screen.
- Clear the DTC.
- Connect Techstream to the DLC3.
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Operate Techstream to clear the codes.
HINT:
Refer to the Techstream operator's manual for further details.
- Check the DTC.
- DTC CHECK/CLEAR (SST CHECK WIRE)
- Check the DTC.
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.

- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Observe the blinking pattern of the ABS warning and brake control warning lights and read the multi information display in order to identify the DTC.
HINT:
If no code appears, inspect the TC and CG terminal circuit, and ABS warning and brake control warning light circuits.

HINT:
Illustrations may differ from the actual screen displayed depending on the specifications of the vehicle and customized settings.
- The codes are explained in the code table (See DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).
- After completing the check, disconnect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3, and turn off the display. If 2 or more DTCs are detected at the same time, the DTCs will be displayed in ascending order.
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
- Clear the DTC.
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
SST 09843-18040
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Clear the DTCs stored in the ECU by depressing the brake pedal 8 times or more within 5 seconds.
- Check that the warning light or multi information display indicates the normal system code.
- Remove the SST from the terminals of the DLC3.
HINT:
Clearing the DTCs cannot be performed by disconnecting the battery terminal or the ECU-IG NO. 2 fuse.
- Using SST, connect terminals TC and CG of the DLC3.
- Check the DTC.
- END OF DTC CHECK/CLEAR
- Turn the power switch on (IG).
- Check that the ABS warning light goes off when the power switch is turned on (READY).

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
- • You are missing required tools, torque specs, or safe lifting equipment.
