Floor Console Base Assembly: Removal
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Removal

- Remove front and rear floor consoles. (Refer to REMOVAL ) and (Refer to REMOVAL ).
- Remove shift mechanism. (Refer to SHIFT MECHANISM ).
- Remove nine attaching nuts and washers to weld studs (Fig 1).
- Remove two screws attaching L-brackets to instrument panel.
- Disconnect wire connectors that are still connected.
- Raise floor console base assembly to allow wire harness exit through console base.
- Remove floor console base assembly from vehicle.
