Instrument Cluster: Installation
2004 Toyota Matrix XR, FWD, StandardSECTION Installation

- Place cluster straight into cluster opening in instrument panel (Figure). Be careful not to scratch the cluster face.
- Install the four retaining screws to the cluster (Figure).
- Install the two electrical connectors to the bottom of the cluster accessed from underneath instrument panel (Figure).
- Raise the column and install four nuts.
- Install the cluster bezel (Refer to CLUSTER BEZEL
).WARNING: DO NOT CONNECT THE BATTERY NEGATIVE CABLE. (Refer to AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS ) FIRST.
- Verify vehicle and system operation.
