Fail safe function:
When a failure occurs in the ABS system, the ABS warning light is turns on and the ABS operation is prohibited. In addition to this, when there is a failure which disables the EBD operation, the brake warning light is also turns on and the EBD operation is prohibited.

When to See a Mechanic
