4TH Gear
Using dial indicator, measure oil clearance between gear and output shaft with needle roller bearing installed. Standard clearance is .0006-.0014" (.015-.035 mm). Maximum clearance is .0016" (.040 mm). If clearance exceeds limit, replace gear, output shaft and needle roller bearing.
