Overdrive Relay

1985 Toyota Celica Supra Base, AutomaticSECTION Overdrive Relay
  1. Remove overdrive relay from pedal bracket (except Van). Remove console box (Van). Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 1 and 2 of overdrive relay. See Figure. Replace relay if continuity does not exist.
  2. Apply battery voltage across terminals No. 2 and 3. Using an ohmmeter, ensure continuity does not exist between terminals No. 1and 2. Apply battery voltage across terminals No. 2 and 4. See Figure. Ensure continuity does not exist at terminals No. 1 and 2. Replace relay if continuity exists. Reinstall overdrive relay to pedal bracket.
