Step 5. DTC Troubleshooting
Based on the DTC indicated in Step 3 and referring to the applicable DTC diag. flow, locate the cause of trouble, namely in sensor, receiver, wire harness, connector, keyless start control module or other part and repair or replace faulty parts.

When to See a Mechanic
Stop DIY work and contact a certified mechanic immediately if any of the following apply:

- • Brakes feel soft, pull hard to one side, or make grinding noises.
- • The engine overheats, stalls repeatedly, or misfires under load.
