Power Balance Test

2013 Suzuki Kizashi Sport GTS, FWDSECTION Power Balance Test
CAUTION: The engine could be damaged if it is accelerated to a high rpm with an injector connector disconnected. Always perform power balance test with engine running at an idle speed.
  1. For CVT model, place select lever in "P" and apply parking brake.

    For M/T model, place gear shift lever in "Neutral" and apply parking brake.

  2. Connect scan tool to DLC (1) with ignition mode of keyless push start system in "OFF".

  3. Clear DTC, see DTC CLEARANCE .
  4. Warm up engine to normal operating temperature.
  5. Using SUZUKI scan tool, select "Fuel Injector" in "Active Test" and turn off each fuel injector.
  6. With each fuel injector turned off, confirm that engine speed falls lower than specified idle speed.
  7. If rates of engine speed decrease are not in scale, check following items.
