Front Sub Sensor: Removal

2022 Subaru Impreza Base, 4D Sedan, Automatic CVT TransSECTION Removal
CAUTION:

Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to Β AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTIONΒ Β .Β 

  1. Turn the ignition switch to OFF.
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE:

    For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.Β 

  3. Remove the front sub sensor.
    1. Remove the clips and remove the air intake duct. (When removing the sensor RH)

    2. Remove the bolt, and then detach the front sub sensor.
    3. Disconnect the connector of front sub sensor. Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>AIRBAG CONNECTOR>PROCEDURE>FRONT SUB SENSOR AND SATELLITE SAFING SENSORΒ .
