Front Differential: Disassembly
When replacing the side bearing, always replace it together with inner race and outer race.Β
- Remove the side bearing inner race using ST1, ST2 and a vise.NOTE:
Perform this procedure only when required.Β
Preparation tool:Β
ST1: PULLER ASSY (399703600)
ST2: SEAT (398497701)
- Using the ST, remove the spring pin.
Preparation tool:Β
ST: STRAIGHT PIN REMOVER (899904100)
- Remove the pinion shaft, and remove the differential bevel pinion, differential bevel gear and thrust washer.
