Multi-function Display (MFD): Removal

2022 Subaru Impreza Base, 4D Sedan, Automatic CVT TransSECTION Removal
  1. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
    NOTE:

    For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.Β 

  2. Remove the grille assembly - CTR ventilation. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (EXCEPT FOR HEV)>AIR VENT GRILLE>REMOVAL>CENTER GRILLE ASSEMBLY .
  3. Remove the panel - center UPR, and remove the audio assembly or navigation assembly. Ref. to ENTERTAINMENT & MONITORING>AUDIO>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the cover - center UPR.
    1. Release the clip and hook, and then remove the cover - center UPR.

      NOTE:

      Lightly push up the back of the cover - center UPR, hook the finger to the end portion and pull it toward you to remove it.Β 

  5. Remove the multi-function display.
    CAUTION:

    Be careful not to damage the multi-function display or instrument panel.Β 

    1. Remove the screws and release the clip.
    2. Pull the multi-function display assembly toward yourself, and disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the screws and then remove the multi-function display.
