Rear Gate Opener Button: Removal
The button - opener rear gate of the model with keyless access with push button start is integrated with the rear lock button. For operation procedures, refer to "Rear Lock Button". Ref. to Β SECURITY AND LOCKS>REAR LOCK BUTTON>REMOVALΒ Β .Β
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY
.NOTE:
For the hybrid model, disconnect the battery negative terminal.Β
- Remove the trim panel - rear gate. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE TRIM>REMOVAL .
- Remove the garnish assembly - rear gate. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>REAR GATE GARNISH>REMOVAL .
- Remove the button - opener rear gate.CAUTION:
When using a flat tip screwdriver, apply protective tape or cloth and be careful not to cause damage.Β
- Remove the button - opener rear gate by pressing the lock portions on both sides.
