Front Differential Assembly: Removal
2014 Subaru Outback 2.5i, Standard TransSECTION Removal

- Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Pull out the torque converter assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the transmission harness connector from stay.
- Remove the ATF cooler inlet pipe and outlet pipe. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Separate the converter case from the transmission case. Refer to REMOVAL .
- Remove the differential side retainers using ST.NOTE: Hold the differential case assembly by hand to avoid damaging the differential side retainer mounting hole of the converter case.
ST 18630AA010 WRENCH COMPL RETAINER
- Remove the front differential assembly while being careful not to damage the attachment part of the retainer.
