AT Main Case: Removal

2014 Subaru Outback 2.5i, Standard TransSECTION Removal

  1. Remove the transmission assembly from the vehicle. Refer to REMOVAL .
  2. Pull out the torque converter assembly. Refer to REMOVAL .
  3. Remove the transmission harness connector from stay.
  4. Remove the ATF cooler inlet pipe and outlet pipe. Refer to REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the extension case. Refer to REMOVAL .
  6. Remove the center differential carrier. Refer to REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the reduction driven gear. Refer to REMOVAL .
  8. Separate the converter case from the transmission case. Refer to REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the control valve body. Refer to REMOVAL .
  10. Remove the oil pump cover. Refer to REMOVAL .
    NOTE: The input clutch pack assembly and front sun gear assembly are also removed together.
