Retrieving & Erasing Codes

1995 Saab 900 S, 2D Hatchback, AutomaticSECTION Retrieving & Erasing Codes
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Saab 900. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) can be retrieved or erased using Saab Intelligent Scan Tool (86 10 651) or appropriate generic scan tool connected to Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is located under left side of instrument panel, to left of steering column. If equipped, scan tool can also command ABS ECM to operate boost pressure control valves and read wheel speeds. See ABS DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES  (DTCs) table.

NOTE: Generic scan tool may not be able to perform all diagnostic functions.
