Removal & Installation: CLOCKSPRING: Installation

1995 Saab 900 S, 2D Hatchback, AutomaticSECTION Installation
  1. Install clockspring to column. Reconnect clockspring electrical connectors and tighten retaining screws. Reinstall upper and lower steering column covers. Ensure clockspring is in center position by turning clockspring clockwise to end position. Turn spring back 2.5 revolutions. See Figure.
  2. Install steering wheel. Tighten steering wheel nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS. Install air bag module and reactivate SRS. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. Check air bag warning light to ensure system is functioning properly. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK.
