- Remove the front door outside handle lock cylinder and bezel. Refer to Door Lock Cylinder ReplacementΒ .
- Prior to removing the outside door handle do the following, pull the outside door handle part way open (not all the way).
- Insert a flat blade suitable screw driver or appropriate tool (1) through the opening next to the lock cylinder opening.
- Hold the handle rod (2) in the actuated position (part way open).
- Pull the outside door handle (1) rearward to release it from the outside door handle housing.
NOTE:
When the outside handle is being removed the outside handle rod Must be held in the down (actuated position), this will allow the handle to clear the outside door handle housing tab.
