Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the interior trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Driver)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (Passenger) .
  2. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door (Coupe and Convertible)  or Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door (Sedan) .
  3. Remove the outside door handle. Refer to Door Handle Replacement - Front Outside .
1 Bolt, Front Side Door Handle Housing

Tighten:  7 N.m (62 lb in)

2 Housing, Front Door Handle
Tip: 
  1. Disconnect the lock and handle rods to remove the housing.
  2. Transfer the lock cylinder to the new housing. Refer to Lock Cylinder Replacement - Door .
