  1. To properly diagnose and test A/C-heater control system, ALWAYS start diagnosis at IDENTIFYING VEHICLE EQUIPMENT & SYSTEM PROBLEMSΒ  test. Starting with any other test may result in incorrect diagnosis. Ensure battery is fully charged and charging system is functional.
  2. DO NOT backprobe connectors unless specified. Probe connector cavities carefully. DO NOT spread terminal(s). This could cause an intermittent problem. DO NOT cause short circuits when performing electrical tests. This will set additional fault codes, making diagnosis of original problem more difficult.
  3. Use DRB voltmeter unless instructed to use an external voltmeter. DO NOT use a test light in place of a voltmeter. Use DRB ohmmeter unless instructed to use an external ohmmeter. Always perform VERIFICATION TESTΒ  after repairs are made. Always disconnect DRB after use.
