. Perform TEST VER-1 after each repair.
- Lower both front windows. Remove key from ignition switch. Close all doors. Lock and unlock doors from both front door switches. If doors fail to lock or unlock properly, perform appropriate test listed in TEST 36A DIAGNOSTIC DIRECTORY table. If doors lock and unlock properly, go to next step.TEST 36A DIAGNOSTIC DIRECTORY
Problem Perform Test No. All Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch TEST 35B One Door (1) Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch TEST 35D All Doors Fail To Lock & Unlock From One Switch TEST 35E All Doors Fail To Lock From Any Switch TEST 35F All Doors Fail To Lock From One Switch (2) * All Doors Fail To Unlock From Any Switch TEST 35H All Doors Fail To Unlock From One Switch (2) * Left Front Door Fails To Lock & Unlock From Any Switch TEST 36B Left Front Door Fails To Lock From Any Switch TEST 36C Left Front Door Fails To Unlock From Any Switch TEST 36D All Doors (1) Fail To Lock & Unlock TEST 36E All Doors (1) Fail To Lock TEST 36F All Doors (1) Fail To Unlock TEST 36G (1) Except left front door. (2) Replace defective switch. - Using Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter, operate door locks and trunk lock. If door locks and trunk lock do not operate properly, replace transmitter batteries or substitute a known-good transmitter. If RKE transmitter still does not operate properly, go to TEST 36H . If RKE transmitter operates properly, go to next step.
- Insert key in ignition switch. Open left front door. Lock doors from either switch. If doors lock with key in ignition switch, go to TEST 35J . If doors do not lock with key in ignition switch, go to next step.
- If vehicle is equipped with speed sensitive locks, drive vehicle with all doors closed. Reach a vehicle speed more than 15 MPH. If doors do not lock at more than 15 MPH, go to TEST 35K . If doors lock, system is operating properly at this time.
