Dashboard Center Panel Removal/Installation

2010 Mazda 5 Sport, 2.3 L, StandardSECTION Dashboard Center Panel Removal/Installation

  1. Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3] .)
  2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  3. Remove the following parts:
    1. Side wall (See SIDE WALL REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
    2. Front console (See FRONT CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
    3. Center panel module (vehicles with audio unit)(See CENTER PANEL MODULE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
    4. Center panel (vehicles without audio unit)(See CENTER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATIONΒ .)
    5. Climate control unit (Vehicles with car-navigation system)(See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER] .)(See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] .)(See CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT INSTALLATION [MANUAL AIR CONDITIONER] .)
    6. Car-navigation unit (Vehicles with car-navigation system)(See CAR-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the screws.
  5. Pull the dashboard center panel outward and detach clips A.
  6. Disconnect the hazard warning switch connector and information display connector.
  7. Disconnect the GPS antenna connector and microphone connector.
  8. Remove the dashboard center panel.
  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
