SAS Control Module: Installation

2008 Mazda 6 s Sport, 4D Hatchback, StandardSECTION Installation

  1. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure that SAS control module is installed with arrow pointing toward front of vehicle. Tighten retaining nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONSΒ  .
  2. Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEMΒ  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM. If a NEW SAS control module is being installed, perform SAS control module configuration. After NEW SAS control module is configured, turn ignition switch to ON position, and after 20 seconds, turn to OFF position. Perform system operation check. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECKΒ  .
