Enter this procedure only when DTCs have not been successfully retrieved or if directed here from another test or chart. This symptom test is only intended to diagnose:
- Improper tire size and tire air pressure.
- Malfunction of PCM.
- Malfunction of ABS system.
- Ensure tire size and tire air pressure meet manufacturer's specification. Replace tires or adjust tire air pressure as necessary. If tire size and tire air pressure meet manufacturer's specification, go to next step.
- Check for PCM related DTCs. See SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - INTRODUCTION - 626 article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If PCM related DTCs are present, see DIAGNOSTIC TESTS in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - 626 article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE. If no PCM related DTCs are present, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Perform ACTIVE COMMAND MODES PROCEDUREΒ under ADDITIONAL SYSTEM FUNCTIONS. Input "0" N.m ENG TQR. Start engine and increase engine speed to 2000-3000 RPM. If engine speed (RPM) begins to decrease, system is normal. If engine speed (RPM) does not decrease, replace ABS CM.
