Parking/Emergency Brake

- Parking brake lever stroke should be 5-7 notches with a pull force of 22 lbs. (10 kg). If parking brake needs to be adjusted, start engine. Depress brake pedal several times. Turn engine off.
- Remove adjusting nut clip and turn adjusting nut at front of parking brake cable. See Fig 1 . After adjusting, turn ignition on. Pull parking brake lever one notch and ensure parking brake warning light illuminates. Release parking brake and ensure rear brakes do not drag.
