Component Inspection

- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect Fuel Level Sender connector and Remove Fuel Sender from fuel tank.
- Measure resistance between terminal 1 and 3 of Fuel Sender. (Component Side)
- Does the resistance of FLS change while moving the fuel level float?
YES
- Fault is intermittent, possibly caused by the float being stuck from foreign material. Thoroughly check if any foreign material is interrupting float moment. Erase DTC and operate the vehicle under "Enable Conditions" shown in DTC DETECTING CONDITION CHART, then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
NO
- Substitute with a known-good Fuel Level Sender and check for proper operation.
If the problem is corrected, replace Fuel Level Sender and go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
