Diagnostic Test

2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Laredo, AWDSECTION Diagnostic Test
  1. CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC 
    1. With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs and record on the repair order.
    2. Record the Environmental Data.
    3. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
    4. Using the recorded Environmental Data, along with the When Monitored and Set Conditions above, operate the vehicle in the conditions that set the DTC.
    5. With the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

      Did the DTC return?

      Yes 

      • Go To  2

      No 

      • Perform the RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST. Refer to RESTRAINTS SYSTEM INTERMITTENT TEST .
      • Probing of the circuit cavities at the ORC Module body harness connectors or vehicle connectors is only to be done with a approved test lead from the test lead 10159-6 or the use of Breakout Box 8443-55 to prevent vehicle wiring harness connector damage during diagnostic procedures. 
  2. VERIFY THAT B00DF-95-PASSENGER RESTRAINT DISABLE SWITCH- INCORRECT ASSEMBLY - INCORRECT ASSEMBLY IS ACTIVE 
    1. With the scan tool, erase ORC DTCs.
    2. Turn the ignition off, wait 10 seconds and then turn the ignition on.
    3. Wait 2 minutes, and then with the scan tool, read ORC DTCs.

      Does the scan tool display active: B00DF-95-PASSENGER RESTRAINT DISABLE SWITCH- INCORRECT ASSEMBLY?

      Yes 

      • Go To  3

      No 

  3. VERIFY WIRING 
    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Inspect the instrument panel harness for switch wiring and/or switch and insure the module is correct for the vehicle application.

      Are wiring or switch present?

      Yes 

      • Insure correct ORC is installed and programmed correctly. Reprogram ORC if necessary.

      No
