- Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
- Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
- Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
- Read the "DTC State" parameter.
- Record all DTCs, DTC state and freeze frame data. Is the DTC State "Present?"NOTE:
- History (Not Present) state: the DTC set but has been cleared.
- Present state: the DTC is active at present time.

- Go to next procedure.
NOΒ
- Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection in power harness (ignition+) and/or Controller's connector. Or, Controller memory was not cleared after it was repaired. Go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
