  • Variant monitoring
  1. Faulty IMEB
  2. Variant coding is not finished.
  3. CAN Bus "OFF"
  4. A different type control module is installed.
Threshold value
  • When variant coding is not completed.
  • After ignition switch is ON, if the CAN message for engine displacement, engine kind and T/M does not correspond to stored variant code in EEPROM.
  • After ignition switch is ON, if the CAN message for engine displacement, engine kind and T/M does not correspond to defined vehicle specifications.
  • After ignition switch is ON, if the engine/transmission information can not received due to "CAN Bus OFF" or "EMS CAN is not received" for more than 5 seconds.
  • After ignition switch is ON, if the EMS message is can not received due to "CAN Bus OFF" or "EMS CAN Time-out" for more than 5 seconds.
  • In case that 4WD message is received in 2WD Vehicle
Diagnosis time
  • Immediately/5 seconds
MIL
  • AHB/ESP (ESC)/EBD/ABS/EPB/RBS warning lamps are activated.
Reset condition
  • After variant coding, when normal state is confirmed after ignition switch turned off and back on.
