Monitor DTC Status

2022 Hyundai Kona Electric LimitedSECTION Monitor DTC Status
  1. Plug GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Turn "ON" the ignition switch.
  3. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)," and click "DTC Status" to check DTC information.
  4. Read the "DTC State" parameter.
  5. Record all DTCs, DTC state and freeze frame data. Is the DTC State "Present?"
    NOTE:
    • History (Not Present) state: the DTC set but has been cleared.
    • Present state: the DTC is active at present time.

    YESΒ 

    • Go to next procedure.

    NOΒ 

    • Fault can be intermittent, caused by poor connection. Or, Controller memory was not cleared after it was repaired. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage. Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIRΒ " procedure.
