Ground Circuit Inspection
2014 Hyundai Accent SE, Standard TransSECTION Ground Circuit Inspection
- Open or Short Check
- Ignition "OFF" & Engine "OFF".
- Disconnect the HECU connector.
- Measure resistance between ground terminal of the HECU harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification: Approx. below 1Ω
- Is the measured value within specifications?
YES
- Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.NOTE: In a case of replacing HECU, operate following functions
- "Steering Angle Sensor Calibration" for steering angle sensor offset correction refer to CALIBRATION (SETTING UP THE ZERO ANGLE)
- "Longitudinal Sensor Calibration" for Longitudinal sensor offset correction (refer to
- "Variant Coding" for 2WD/4WD type setting (refer to C1702 )
NO
- Repair open or short in ground circuit between HECU harness connector and chassis ground, and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
- Substitute with a known-good HECU and check for proper operation. If problem is corrected, replace HECU and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
