2009 Honda CR-V EX, 2.4 RE3SECTION DTC 1402: Audio Error 2

NOTE:
  • Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST ).
  • This code sets when the audio-navigation unit detects a mechanical malfunction in the audio disc changer.
  • Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION -('10 MODEL) ).
  1. Clear the hard error code (see HOW TO CLEAR ERROR HISTORY ).
  2. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
  3. Check for the hard error code (see HOW DO I FIND THE LOCAL ADDRESS OF A BUSINESS THAT IS PART OF A NATIONAL CHAIN (FOR EXAMPLE, STARBUCKS)? ).

    Is DTC 1402 indicated? 

    YES  -Check if the audio unit functions are working properly. If any problems are found, go to affected troubleshooting in audio section.

    NO  -Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. If the vehicle repeatedly comes back with the DTC, replace the audio-navigation unit (see AUDIO-NAVIGATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - ('10 MODEL) ).
